The baby back ribs recipe is perfect for your summer garden party. It works well with any barbecue sauce and dry rub combo.

  • ¼ cup white sugar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup salt
  • ½ cup ancho chile powder
  • ½ tbsp ground black pepper
  • ½ tbsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • 1 tsp ground cayenne pepper
  • ½ tsp ground chipotle pepper in a bowl


  • Preheat your oven beforehand to 250°F
  • Prepare and mix ingredients
  • Place 1 rack of baby back ribs (meat-side down) on a piece of aluminum foil. Use a knife to prick the ribs' back multiple times.
  • Generously coat the dry rub to the entire rib rack.
  • Foil the aluminum foil around to seal it tightly. Transfer it to a sheet pan.
  • Bake it for around 2 hours until it is tender and evenly cooked. Take it out and cook for another 15 minutes.
  • Increase the temperature to 350°F.
  • Open the seal, drain any excess juice and fat. Apply 1 cup of favorite barbecue sauce on the entire rib rack.
  • Place the rib meat-side up and leave the foil open. Bake it for about 10 minutes and remove it from the oven. Reapply another layer of barbecue sauce combo only on the meat side. Keep baking and brush with BBQ sauce 4 additional times with a total 50-minute baking time.
  • Cut the rib rack into individual segments and enjoy more flavored sauce.
